The Meaning Behind The Flag

The 13 alternating red and white stripes are both symbolic of the rays of light emanating from the sun, as well as to pay homage to the original 13 colonies.  Red signifies hardiness and valor, and blue signifies vigilance, perseverance, and justice.

There were originally 13 stars, representing the original 13 states.  With the addition of new states to the Union, the number of stars on the flag gradually increased to its present number of fifty; a new star would be added to the blue field on the fourth of July after the date of each new state’s admission.

Even though many Americans proudly fly the flag outside their homes and businesses every day, it is fitting that we, as a country, have set aside one specific day each year to honor our flag and to remember that it represents the ideals and values that we should strive to uphold.

Why Stack Silver?

Challenge Coins have traditionally been minted in a zinc alloy, but why buy zinc when you can stack silver with your Challenge Coins?

In the words of SD Bullion, "Some stack silver because it is a proven store of wealth while other silver stackers use it as a system to save capital for the long haul. Some stackers like the notoriety of buying silver bullion in larger quantities. Most would argue they stack silver as a hedge against economic downturns or emergencies."

If you want this challenge coin at a cheaper price point, it is ALSO available in pure copper at a much lower price than silver!

US Shipping only!  We will not ship silver out of the country!

* .999 silver is referred to as "three nines fine".  It is 99.9% pure, and is the most common maximum purity level bullion sold at the major silver foundries.   In contrast, silver coins are typically between 80% and 90% pure, and the silver used in jewelry is often 92.5% pure and is referred to as "925 silver".
