The Armed Forces Reserve Medal is awarded to both enlisted and officers for periods of service in the reserves. A bronze, silver, gold, or bronze and gold hourglass is worn on the suspension ribbon and service ribbon, indicating 10, 20, 30, or 40 years of service respectively. If the medal is awarded in connection with a mobilization, it is accompanied by an "M" device.
This coin is minted in the USA from solid bronze, using special deep-relief coining dies, and hand-finished with an antique patina for exceptional quality and detail. Die struck out of thicker blanks, this coin will have a substantive feel to it as well. The obverse features the colors of the Armed Forces Reserve Medal ribbon, imbued with bold enamel, and depicts the medal’s horn, bugle, and torch design design. The reverse has space available for engraving. The coin comes packaged in a polybag with a header card.
This coin is dedicated to the US military men and women fight for freedom and honors their commitment to their sworn duty to protect us all.
