DP Creations, LLC (DPCR) had previously licensed the OPSGEAR Intellectual Property (IP) to OPSGEAR, INC (OG), with an exclusive license guaranteeing that only OG could use that IP, for as long as OG maintained the license. But effective at midnight on the evening of 12/15/17, OG has relinquished that license, and turned over administrative control of this website to DPCR. Upon receiving control of this website, the first thing we (DPCR) did was shut down the shopping cart to this site, while we reorganize it under DPCR stewardship.
I do not know the status of most of the orders, or customer order fulfillment, of the OG company. It is as separate from us as Walmart is separate from K-Mart, and I do not have administrative access to most of the records of OG.
But what I *do* know, is that Federal Law requires, in general, that a company either ship product or else provide a refund within 30 days (with a few carefully spelled out exceptions). This is generally known in the industry as the "30 Day Rule". On Sunday, January 14th, it will mark 30 days since the domain www.opsgear.com was transitioned to us and we shut the shopping cart down. So after that date *any* remaining unfulfilled orders are beyond the 30 day limit generally imposed by Federal Law.
If you want more information on the Federal Law regarding the "30 Day Rule", Google "FTC 30 Day Rule", or else just click this link:
It was my hope that there would be *no* orders that are still unfulfilled at this time, in accordance with Federal Law.
Also, I have been allowing the email address of "email@example.com" to be handled by employees of the old OPSGEAR company, to aid in fulfilling their old orders. But beginning February 1st, that email address will no longer be available to them, and I will no longer be allocating DPCR resources to the old OPSGEAR company. February 1st will mark a month and a half since the transition, which should be plenty of time for the old OPSGEAR company to wrap things up with their old customer orders, and well beyond the time mandated by Federal Law.
Once we are ready, we will be reigniting the OPSGEAR brand under our stewardship (DPCR). But that is likely going to take some time yet. OG operated under the drop ship model. I have never been a believer of that business model, and that's not how we do business. When we reopen, it will be an entirely different experience, and we ask for your patience during this transition.
