• Chateau Thierry in a French WWI Graveyard

The challenge coin comes from a long tradition. Challenge coins are made by specific groups or military units to signify the strong bond held within that group. They are then to be given to those who are held in high esteem by members of that specific group. They are to be carried or worn as a sign of friendship and honor. A person who receives a coin is then eligible to give that coin to others whom that person holds in high esteem.
