The gun mount mounts on your TigerLight and actually helps you hold and index the light. It fits in the charger without removing the mount. The rail enables you to quickly and easily snap the light onto your belt or vest with ease. It locks into place and cannot be removed without pressing the release button, which you do just by grabbing the light as you normally would. However the attacker would not likely be able to release it. It also makes it so you can turn the light on while on the rail and it lights up the area in front of you completely, hands free. Other lights do not have this capability. If you happen to have an AR15, M4, M16 or anything with a picatinny type rail, you can quickly mount the TigerLight to your gun for increased sighting capability and adjust the positioning to your specific grip preference.The TigerLight Gold Series Gun Mount/Rail Holster provides a two-in-one functionality that allows you mount the TigerLight on a weapon with a picatinny type rail and then remove the TigerLight, and using the gun mount, holster it on your belt or vest using the rail holster.
