GET IT September 17, 2009
Reviewer: Alex Bushnell from Auburn, NY United States
I bought this gun a few years back, when I was a hard core paintball player. Was my first...and only gun. It works very well, never had a single problem with it. It's light, has a rail on top so you can mount optics and other sights if you wanted. Yeah there arent too many parts out for it, like there are for the A5, but you can still make it look pretty sick. All I can say is, it's a great gun, if you're willing to pay the price, but it is very worth it.

Excellent Weapon October 18, 2008
Reviewer: Commando from West Bend, WI United States
Don't listen to any of the losers who gave this gun anything less than four stars, half of them don't even have the gun.  This gun is very accurate right out of the box with the stock barrel.  It is very lightweight and yet very durable.  Composite is used in real military firearms so anyone that thinks this gun is just a plastic piece of crap is a moron.  The A-5 may have more upgrades for it currently, but it has been available for years, while the X-7 just recently came out.  This is a solid, reliable, and very customizable gun and is a must have for any woodsball/scenario players.

Okay. September 10, 2008
Reviewer: Garrett Broshar from Jamestown, IN United States
Just like other people said, it's an A-5 but with rails and a magazine on it. It does shoot faster out of the box yes, but     if you buy this you could get an A-5 that shoots just as fast with a $20 upgrade. I own an A-5 with squishy paddles and an E-grip and I have a buddy with an X-7 with squishy paddles and E-grip. No difference and his cost another $100.  When I compare the 2 guns to each other the X-7 does seem a little more durable but in-between every one of our matches he has to tweak with something on his X-7 and I just reload and I'm ready to go.

People, People, People July 1, 2008

Ok. So I read the other reviews and people need to do more research. First off the gun is not made out of plastic. It is a light magnesium composite that is pretty strong. Slid down a ravine and banged the thing on a tree, hmm seems to be in great condition. Also, opsgear, spec ops, and tippmann are not the only places to get mods. Shop around more people! There are tons of internal and external mods for performance and looks. Awesome gun.

Paintball Marker June 28, 2008
Reviewer: Kevin Gregory from Wanganui, Wanganui New Zealand
Fantastic piece of machine. Fires incredible fast and very responsive. The cyclone feeder makes a heck of a difference. Everyone is saying that I am a real fast shooter. I let friends try the marker out and they fell in love with it. Very happy with the purchase. Pity I am all the way in the Southern Hemisphere.

Paintball pro is totally right buy an a-5 February 16, 2008
Reviewer: Anonymous person from Garden City South, NY United States
The tippmann x-7 is just an a-5 with a few changes.First off, the weight change is barely noticable and will weigh just as much as an a-5 with upgrades. it is also bulky. Next, the x-7 is supposed to have more upgrades but look at the upgrade pages for each gun and you will see. Lastly, the x-7 does shoot faster straight out of the box (barely) you can buy a practically weightless upgrade to make the a-5 shoot better. Dont listen to the other reviewers, buy an a-5 and modify it however you like.

the gun is great but it looks fat if you modify it, and it is light. only get it if you dont plan on modifying it. Buy the A-5 if you wnt to modify

Not bad August 7, 2007
Reviewer: Stephen Caskey from Shreveport, LA United States
There is no dought that this gun is good. It feeds 20 bps, as opposed to 17 bps(A-5), has a much better profile than the A-5, and has an external E-Grip but, personally I would go with a Tippmann A-5 for one it is alot more durable 9X-7 is almost all plastic) and has millions more after market upgrades(whereas you can only buy X-7 mods from either Tippmann or Spec-Ops). Plus since the X-7 came out the stock A-5 price at my local field has dropped to $180.
