My first non-issue boots. Incredibly comfy, the lightest I have seen, the vibram soles take everything. These have no break in period, are easy to run in, and the chemical resistant heel and toe look good and are functional.

Just got a pair in Coyote Tan. First impression out of the box was that these were a more padded version of the old US issue Jungles with an enhanced sole. The construction looks atleast on par w/ other high-end boots on the market. There was absolutely no break in period. They give & bend in all the right places & give nice support without choking the ankles. They feel exactly how they looked, like thicker jungle boots. The sizing is spot on with most shoe companies. I have been wearing these everyday for 2 weeks in ankle deep snow to get a feel of their limitations, & so far they have kept my feet surprising warm and dry. I Have soaked them in wet slush without any noticeable ill-effects so far. I also have a pair of Converse Stealths with the composite toe and I have to say that these are actually imho a more comfy boot and no where near as stiff breaking them in. If these boots last, I will pick up a second pair before I head back over to the sandbox next spring. Molon Labe!

i bought these at the beginning of summer 08' used them almost everyday for the entire summer, then the whole right side (of both) ripped open. the insoles they came with sucked also, so i had to but a pair of Dr Schol's gel thinggys, and it worked really good. during the course of the summer, they were comfy, didn't have to break em in. but i wouldn't spend my money on these again.

For the moment i have this shoes since one year, I spend my summer to trekking whith it in french mountains (La Grande Ruine mountain, the GR20 across Corsica...).
No problem with it, I can walk again and again by hot temperature, it's no bad smells !
If one day this wears out I would buy them back, be sure !
Solid, lightweight, I am not disappointed...
